We love welcoming dogs…

Noddfa Holiday Homes Dog Visitors

We love welcoming dogs at Noddfa Holiday Homes. 95% of our guests bring their furry companions and it’s a pleasure when we have the opportunity to meet them.

Whilst we don’t have a formal limit on dog numbers, if you have a large pack we will provide guidance about whether we feel you will have enough space in the cottage to be comfortable.

Typically, we welcome 3 large dogs (GSD, retriever size) and 5 small dogs (Yorkshire terrier, toy poodle size) with full human occupancy. If there are less people, we may be able to increase the number of dogs welcomed. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.

Being a multiple dog household, we know how frustrating it is to be charged extra for your dogs. We don’t charge for dogs and we’re delighted that the overwhelming majority of our guests are incredibly respectful and go to great lengths to leave it clean and tidy.

Dogs are very welcome in all rooms, but we do ask that dogs never go on human beds or bedding (even with throws or with your own bedding).

We provide lots of useful doggy items to make your stay easier, including the following:
– Towels
– Poo bags
– Throws for the sofas
– Bowls (and mat)
– Outside tap with hose
– Shampoo
– Hair removal block
– Dog beds (up to 3 hard plastic beds with vet bed liners, available upon request)

About Us at Noddfa Holiday Homes

Noddfa Holiday Homes is a small, family business run by Sam and Andrew Sayers (and the office junior Xander).

The beauty of the Swansea Valley, Gower and Brecon Beacons captured our hearts so much, we relocated here from the Midlands in 2017 with our 3 dogs (aka the Noddfa Pup Brigade).

With so many wonderful places to explore, many off the beaten tourist track, we decided to share this beautiful part of the world with likeminded guests by creating a quality holiday home where dogs are welcomed as warmly as their owners.

The Noddfa Pup Brigade have scouted out some fantastic places to visit; you’ll find details on these pages, enabling you to make the most of your stay at.

We live just 15 minutes from Graig Noddfa – so we’re close enough to be there when you need us and well out of the way when you don’t!

waterfall

With the Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons just a stone’s throw away, as well as nature reserves and waterfalls, it really is a peaceful part of the world. The gorgeous beaches of Swansea, Gower, Rhossili, Mumbles, Aberaeron and Pembrey (to name but a few!) are also just a short drive away, many of which are dog friendly 365 days a year.

We are proud of the many great reviews we’ve received, commenting on the cleanliness of our cottages so there’s no need to worry about finding evidence of other people’s pooches in the cottage.

Sam loves to talk about all things Noddfa & dogs and often finds that a chat over the phone is the best and quickest way to answer any questions a guest may have.

Sam can be contacted on 07796 797270 and if you prefer to write, drop a note to noddfaholidayhomes@outlook.comor send a message to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/noddfaholidayhomes

Location

Graig Noddfa is in the Swansea Valley village of Godre’rgraig in South Wales.

Situated between the Gower coast and Brecon Beacons, Godre’rgraig is a typical, small ex-mining village with a friendly local community and not many tourists!

As the word “valley” suggests, the area is both mountainous and flat. Graig Noddfa is located on Allt-y-grug Mountain and you can walk to the valley floor in just 5 minutes via steps (remember it’s uphill on the way back!!). Here you will find beautiful walks along the River Tawe (watch out for the waterfalls) and within nature reserves.

At the coast with Noddfa Holiday Homes

Swansea city centre is approximately a 20-minute drive away to the south and you can be on the closest beach (Swansea Bay) within 25 minutes.

Looking north, you can reach the Breacon Beacons in just 15 minutes, with Brecon town approximately 40 minutes away.

To the west you’ll find Llanelli with lovely beaches and walks at Pembrey Country Park and to the east, Cardiff is around an hour away.

Getting Here

Godre’rgraig is easily accessible via car.

Graig Noddfa is 10 minutes from junction 45 off the M4, located just off the A4067 (which runs from Swansea to Sennybridge where you can join the A40 to Brecon and beyond),

Coming from the Midlands/North? The M50 leads you to the Heads of Valleys road and from there it’s a beautiful drive, via Monmouth, Abergavenny, around the south perimeter of the Brecon Beacons and into the Swansea Valley.

Whilst Swansea railway station is just a 20 minute drive away, we strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your stay to ensure you’re able to make the most of this beautiful area.
