Graig Noddfa is a traditional terraced miner’s cottage built circa 1900, located in a quiet residential street.
The front faces the old primary school (built in the same era and no longer in use) and you’ll see our beautiful views from the rear of the cottage, over the valley and across to the Brecon Beacons.
Parking is on the street; you will usually find a space right outside the front door for one car. Further parking is typically available on the street also.
Downstairs you’ll find an open plan living/dining room with dining space for 4 and 2 x 2-seater leather sofas.
There is a 32-inch TV (with complementary Netflix & Amazon TV) plus a log burner to snuggle up in front of during the chillier evenings. There is gas central heating also.
DVDs, books and games for all ages are provided for your entertainment plus a “oops I’ve forgotten it box” which contains USB leads, chargers, plug adapters for overseas guests and other small essentials to make your stay more comfortable.
The kitchen has an undercounter fridge, oven (gas hob, electric oven), microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine and the usual important utensils etc.
A stairgate is provided for your use and we can also provide a booster seat for children.
Sleeping 4 comfortably in 2 bedrooms, Graig Noddfa provides flexible sleeping arrangements by offering a superking bed that can be split into two full size singles in the master bedroom.
The second bedroom has a double bedroom, so the cottage is perfect for 2 couples, adult friends and families alike.
The bathroom is located on the ground floor and provides a bath with an electric shower over. A tabletop size freezer plus a washer/drier are located in the bathroom cupboard.
To help you make the most of your stay, you’ll find a large number of leaflets for local attractions, Ordnance Survey maps for the Brecon Beacons and Swansea areas plus several books of local walks (Gower, Brecon Beacons etc).
Graig Noddfa’s garden is sloped and offers an enclosed patio from the back door where you’ll find a BBQ for your use in warmer weather.
The patio leads to steps which take you down to a decked area (with table, chairs & parasol) where you can enjoy the spectacular views, and to the grassed area – a firm favourite with our canine friends!
There is a minimum of 6ft fencing around the entire garden so if your dog likes to explore, you can relax knowing they’re safe.
Dog tags are provided with the cottage address on them for your use for when you’re out and about.
ACCESSBILITY:
Graig Noddfa is built on a mountain and therefore the terrain is naturally hilly.
There is a step down from the street onto the pavement and a further step down into the house.
The cottage is built over 2 levels with fairly steep internal stairs (handrail provided).
The rear garden is built over 2 levels and has steps.
In our opinion the property is not suitable for wheelchair users.
